The recent floods in Pakistan are the worst natural disaster in recent times. UN estimates that the extent of damage through these floods is larger than what we witnessed in the Asian Tsunami, Haitian and Pakistani earthquakes combined. Twenty million people have been affected by these floods and billions of dollars in private property, crops and industries are lost.

The 2010 floods in Pakistan are one of the worst natural disasters in the last hundred years. With more than 20 millionpeople affected and 1/5th of the country under water, the combined damage from these floods is more than from the Asian Tsunami 2004, Kashmir earthquake of 2005 and Haitian earthquake of 2010 (source: United Nations).
